A little context

Manav

Engineer, problem solver, and curious mind.

I build things for a living, ask questions for fun, and go down rabbit holes more or less constantly. This site is the workbench where I keep my loose ends: the half-ideas, the books I'm chewing on, the thoughts still steeping that I'm not quite ready to call distilled.

On paper I'm a mechanical engineer. That's what I studied at VIT, but in practice I kept wandering off. I taught myself machine learning, went down the Bitcoin rabbit hole until I understood how it actually worked, started building hardware and little products. At some point it clicked that I didn't really want to be a mechanical engineer. I just wanted to keep chasing whatever I was curious about.

And the curiosity is all over the place. Physics and tech, obviously, but also philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, genetics, how people behave in groups. These days I'm experimenting with how I put ideas out there too: making content on Instagram, teaching myself to draw, learning Photoshop. Writing alone doesn't always feel like enough.

If you want a more specific sense of what I'm up to, the now page is kept more honest than this one.
